Sensitivity Analysis of Forecasting Performance for ST6 Parameterization in High-Resolution Wave Model Based on WAVEWATCH III

A regional wave forecasting system in East Asia, including the Korean Peninsula, was built based on WAVEWATCH III using offshore wind forecast data from Global Data Assimilation Prediction System. The numerical simulations were performed sensitivity of interaction between input and development. forecasts for each condition compared verified with observational marine meteorological buoys 1 August to 30 September 2020. conditions configured have a specific range variables related directional distribution winds (SINA0) indicating development wind–wave (CDFAC) ST6. results presented by calculating mean error root square all observation points. Overall, as CDFAC increased, tended decrease according time increased. Although effect SINA0 at same insignificant, when increased sections where significant height decreased rapidly, decrease. In addition, main that affect physical process should be considered improve model performance accuracy.
